Conservatives Ponder Sterling Trutherism: Did Magic Set Him Up?

A few conservative pundits on Tuesday furthered a conspiracy theory that someone, possibly Magic Johnson, set up Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's racist rant in order to buy the team.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on his show on Tuesday had a lengthy discussion with a caller about such a theory. Limbaugh attributed the theory to the caller, but seemed convinced that it was a possibility.

"Whoever set this up is really good. They covered every base. They've got the media wrapped around their little finger," Limbaugh said.

"This is a fascinating theory. And, Neil, I'm glad that you held on through the break so I could dig deep, explore further," he continued "You know, you got it."

Facebook that Sterling is obviously suffering from dementia and is therefore being treated unfairly. They'll bend over backwards and do contortions to excuse blatant racism. The conspiracy theories by the likes of Limpballs are totally predictable.

But I do think that if he was forced to sell the team it would be better if Magic is not the buyer, simply to avoid unpleasant suspicions and accusations.

Half the time they are pushing the theme Sterling was set up,
Half the time they are pushing the theme he's a liberal and Dems won't own up to him as if Dems are having a hard time not supporting Donal Sterling.

It is fascinatingly stupid to see them fantasize over this issue. Many loved hating Sterling when he was supposed to be a Democrat and now that it isn't so crystal clear Sterling cares that much about the place his foundation donated money, almost as if tax right offs were all he cared about, they've come up with the new realization this is a privacy issue and the man was set up.

Meanwhile in reality no one else in America is having any issue seeing this as a racist stuck in a trap he created and one his fellow billionaires don't want to be around anymore. There's the real world and the world of conservative echo chamber where the real world doesn't matter so long as people only hear today's spin and forget yesterday's spin.
