President Obama Stands With Planned Parenthood

When President Obama stands up for health care reform, he stands up for women's health. Already, 20 million women have received preventive care without a co-pay because of the health care reform law. When the health care reform law is fully implemented, women will no longer be discriminated against by insurance companies, and essential services including cancer screenings, birth control, and HIV testing and counseling will be covered with no co-pays.

President Obama knows how important women's health is, and he respects the right of every woman to make her own medical decisions. Watch the video to see his special message to Planned Parenthood Action Fund supporters — and then sign our letter thanking him for standing strong for women's health.

Dear President Obama,

Thank you for standing strong for women's health. The fight for health care reform was long, and it was difficult. But after two years, it's clear that the struggle was worthwhile.

Obamacare has already provided 20 million women with preventive health services without a co-pay. Obamacare will end insurance company discrimination against women, and provide access to basic care like cancer screenings, birth control, and HIV testing and counseling with no co-pays. And by continuing to expand access to affordable care, Obamacare marks a truly historic victory for women's health.

This week, your administration is keeping up the fight for women's health by defending the health care reform law at the Supreme Court. As a Planned Parenthood Action Fund supporter, I want to thank you for standing strong for women's health. I am proud to support your efforts to defend women's health and expand access to affordable care.
