so much as water stains on it, something occurred to me; the fact that this happened at dusk during a rainstorm, isn't it possible that zimmerman's shirt would appear white to someone looking at him due to it's light color? Could the "WHITE SHIRT" that someone saw on top of the other person have been zimmy because I know that light grays, beiges tans, etc CAN be mistaken for white when seen under those light conditions? Has anyone else thought about that?

(17,064 posts)I doubt that Trayvons hoodie was white, and if he was wearing a shirt underneath then it most likely wasnt visible. So white shirt probably refers to Zimmys grey one.

(50,339 posts)From the video, the shirt Zimmerman was wearing was a very light gray and could well be perceived as white by any witnesses who were at a distance from him.
The other thing that struck me, again after seeing the video, was the one witness defending Zimmerman who said the person that was on the ground being hit was wearing red yet the jacket in the video had dark gray on the shoulders not red. Now, if someone is on the ground with another person on top of them, would not the person on top of them cover the red part on the front of the jacket and the red portion of the jacket on the back would not be visible at all so how did that person see the red unless they had been standing in very close proximity to the supposed fight?

(6,086 posts)red isn't VERY easy to perceive in dark conditions. And Trayvon had a BLACK hoodie on so how would his "white Tee" be visible to some viewing from a distance? It would be covered by the hoodie. Even zimmy said that he had a black hoodie , can't remember what color pant BUT I remember the white tennis shoes. It would also explain why the two female witnesses, when they came out IMMEDIATELY following the shooting, saw ZIMMERMAN ON TOP of Trayvon's body and Trayvon was face down.

(6,086 posts)only the black would be visible a, even if they would see the red. It's just NOT easy to see red in low light conditions, certainly not the red zimmy had on.

(30,674 posts)that seems the most likely explanation and some on the forum have asserted it as fact but frankly I can't find a good cite that the police took the original clothes. Anybody have a link?

(6,086 posts)They didn't take his clothes or his gun and didn't test squat.

(50,339 posts)which we can see in the video Zimmerman is still wearing and a witness defending Zimmerman said they saw on the person on the ground being hit? Answer is they did not take his clothes at the scene at all. What he is wearing in the video is what he was wearing when he killed Trayvon Martin, imo.
