Something has occured to me regarding the court and the health care law.

They are talking about abolising the whole law because of the mandate but, the mandate does not take effect until 2014. Why do they have to kill the whole bill now as long as it is functioning the way it is? Why not give congress until 2014 to come up with a replacement mechanism? They also talked about some issue with medicaire . I'm not sure if that is in effect yet.
