It's several gun shop owners who decided not to sell it after getting death threats after initially deciding to sell it.

What we actually need is for people to request it from gun shops all over until they find someone who will sell one, then buy it, then send a copy of the receipt along to the New Jersey legislature

Now that it looks like Senator Weinberg is willing to work to repeal the New Jersey law providing the NRA backs off riling up the nutjobs about the 'smart gun' and any research in that area, the ball is now in the NRA's court.

The NRA, imo, won't stop riling up the nutjobs unless the gun manufacturers want to make 'smart guns' and I don't see that happening seeing as they could have done the research, etc, long ago.

and allow the marketplace to decide. Bloomberg has billions he could develop and sell his own smart gun. The big obstacle is if this law is still in effect and one is sold it will ban all existing handguns from sale or transfer. Start with mandating police use it as on the show they are clamoring for it.

and the NRA should let the market decide. The irony of the NRA working to prohibit the sale of a gun, doing what they say the left wants, is beyond hilarious. Their hypocrisy is on full display.

Bloomberg could buy any gun manufacturer out there and have them make any damn gun he wants. The NRA as much as I dispose them wants "CHOICE". with the current law out there, all non-smart guns would be banned and transfer would be prohibited. Some here like "CHOICE" for some but not others. I guess I put you down as a banner.

I would think if the police want it so bad they could get it done, do you know how many weapons LAPD or NYPD would purchase to replace the UNSAFE guns they have?

The NRA doesn't want choice or they would support this gun being for sale as they do all the others. The paranoia of the nutjobs is on full display on this one.

LOL on the "I guess I put you down as a banner." You obviously didn't read my post, I distinctly said "let the market decide" which means the 'smart gun' should be allowed to be sold but the NRA and their nutty supporters are afraid of it and they are the "banners" it appears.

That is what the NRA wants. If Bloomberg really believes what he wants as gun safety he would be for safe guns. But he is not he would like to see all guns banned.

which is why there would need to be an agreement on both sides before the process to repeal the law begins.

Surely you don't trust the NRA, you despise them from what you wrote in your previous post (I am assuming you meant despise when you typed "dispose" in that post.)
