I thought this was an Onion parody...but, reading the article it quotes Obama as saying:

“Harrison Arkansas is one of America’s largest ongoing disaster areas,” Obama said. “I want to see for myself what is going on here. People on average show 45 IQ points lower than the average American town and for some reason believe it is still 1950. To these people the civil rights movement and any form of modern thinking never happened. My office actually received a telegram addressed to Harry Truman last week asking about plans to end the Korean war, and I do not think they are talking about the one brewing.”

The reporter then goes on to say this:

The White House says that the President hopes to allocate resources to conduct an environmental study on the area. Some experts believe that water from Crooked Creek, which runs through town, is a likely source of radiation poisoning of the residents. Other experts believe that the large amount of methamphetamine production and intake in the area is causing irreversible effects on the community.

I have an in-law who lives near Harrison. This person is a raving teabagger and dumb as a stump. She bragged about how great it is to live in that area because there are hardly any "minorities."

If anyone remembers the old Arkansas Gazette stories back in the 50's to 70's

and online. It is where most of the Arkansas Gazette people went. It is liberal. The other state rag is "The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette" it is a little to the right of Fox News and where Tucker Carlson came from.

I'm actually getting worried that Obama might really think what this Satire (unmarked) is what he is really thinking.

And, if so that would really be what "DU Armstead" posted in GD this a.m....about KNIFE IN THE BACK to US DEMOCRATS.

That's why this post sort of threw me. That I could be taken in on "first glance" read that Obama really said what is quoted above.
