Reminds me of Make Way for Ducklings. Great job to the Samaritans and police!
An Indiana State Police cruiser is giving a family of Canadian geese a special escort along I-80/94 in Tuesday.
Seven geese -- two adults and five babies -- are walking along the side of the interstate followed by two police cruisers and a tow truck.
A couple of good Samaritans in vehicles initially provided an escort for the family of geese until police showed up.

My neighborhood used to be an officially designated Bird Sanctuary with a dazzling amount of diversity, but the Canadian Geese came in about a decade ago and bullied out most of the other waterfowl

Coincidentally, a pair of Canada geese and their *seven* offspring got evicted today from my place of employment, thanks to animal protection. The female had been sitting on the eggs in an elevated planter just outside the main entrance to the building. Yesterday I was rewarded with the sight of seven yellow puff-balls in the nest. The male showed up later in the morning, but by the afternoon, he was standing on the edge of the planter, stretching his neck and hissing menacingly - frequently startling various & sundry passersby. I didn't see the eviction, but I was assured that all went gently and that the entire family is in a more goose-friendly location.
