All packets on the Intertubes are marked best effort-
When we peer with other carriers and they send internet traffic onto our network even if a packet was tagged with some type of priority I'm setting it back to BE. I'm not going to honor anything coming in tagged as EF or AF31 LOL...
So, tell me oh wise people, you are using Comcast as your ISP and you are streaming content from a company who is with Verizon so the traffic originates on Verizon's network and terminates on Comcast to your cable modem or router.
Tell me oh wise folks how do these fast lanes/slow lanes work between Tier1 providers? (And yes, I work for a Tier1 company)
