"SNIP...................
Senator Reid and the Senate leadership have raised this as an issue, Brock said in an interview with Open Mike. This is the party of Koch, and we want Americans to understand what that means in their daily lives. It will basically have two aspects to it. One is expose and rebut their self-serving policy agenda, not only nationally, but in the states.
Brock added, Secondly, were going to do some really deep-dive research into Koch industries and related entities and their businesses practices. And at the end of the day what were going to show is that the Kochs are leaders of a freakish ideological cult that is designed to rig the system to their benefit and to rob Americans of Social Security and decent wages. I think that the Kochs dont view their investments politically as investments in the country but in their companies.

(9,462 posts)stealing, which the Kochs called "mismeasuring" oil from public and Native American land. He searched for years to find something to sue them for. I wonder if that brother will cooperate with American Bridge? That would be interesting.

(21,769 posts)There is a section detailing an FBI investigation of Charles Koch personally going to an Indian reservation to tamper with the meters that record how much oil his company was pumping from their land. An informant was "wired" by the FBI and recorded a bizarre conversation.
INFORMANT: You are already a billionaire. Why risk breaking the law to filch some family out of three bucks a month?
KOCH: I just want my fair share - and that's all of it.
The brothers eventually got the investigation squashed by donating to certain politicians who fired the federal prosecutor in charge of the investigation. The new prosecutor decide not to proceed with the investigation
The Palast book was published in 2012 but got no mainstream media attention. The Bros. are known for their SLAP lawsuits (even though they are for "commonsense lawsuit reform).
It is past time for a comprehensive biography of the Koch Bros. including how they got their amazing fortune but I doubt that any major publisher would have the guts to print it.
