Sometimes I just read the OP and answer without reading other answers. I do that when I do not want to be influenced by the opinions or responses of others when I reply. I also do that to avoid the possibility that I run into one of those groups of posts that are intended to distract from the OP.
So for me it depends on the OP, whether I feel I need to read the links and other factors such as how much time I have.

(45,851 posts)Varies a lot, most of the time I read OP and replies, sometimes I just fire off a post based on the title of the OP and pretty much anything in between.
I seldom watch videos other than music (we get some awesome music in threads sometimes) but I will read an interesting link offsite.
