I'm sure the organizers will use the weather as the excuse for why only a few thousand will actually show up.

(26,626 posts)4. God On Their Side
Riley has said Operation American Spring is bathed in prayer and will have divine support: Were bathedits under God and were going to move up there and trust Him that it will work out because we believe its noble, its an honorable effort.
Gods wind is behind us, that this is something that Hes pushing us along, he said. I think it will work. I think God is behind it. He is going to give us a clear path, right into Washington D.C. and thats what were going to ask for.

(12,977 posts)The federal government was so terrified that they used their secret weather modifying machines to keep them at bay. Right?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Frequency_Active_Auroral_Research_Program
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Designed and built by BAE Advanced Technologies (BAEAT), its purpose is to analyze the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing ionospheric enhancement technology for radio communications and surveillance. . . .
HAARP is a target of conspiracy theorists, who claim that it is capable of modifying weather, disabling satellites and exerting mind control over people, and that it is being used as a weapon against terrorists. Such theorists have blamed the program for causing earthquakes, droughts, storms and floods, diseases such as Gulf War Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, the 1996 crash of TWA Flight 800, and the 2003 destruction of the space shuttle Columbia. Commentators and scientists say that proponents of these theories are "uninformed", as most theories put forward fall well outside the abilities of the facility and often outside the scope of natural science.

(4,299 posts)By surrounding a beam with another beam that will act as an energy reservoir, the central beam will be sustained for greater distances than previously possible. The secondary beam will refuel and help to prevent the dissipation of the primary beam, which would break down quickly on its own.
"The collapse becomes so intense that electrons in the air's oxygen and nitrogen are ripped off creating plasma -- basically a soup of electrons," Mills explained in a statement.
Afterwards, the plasma tries to spread the beam back out -- causing an internal struggle between collapsing and spreading -- what's known as "filamentation." This process in turn creates a light string that lasts only until the beam disperses.
"Because a filament creates excited electrons in its wake as it moves, it artificially seeds the conditions necessary for rain and lightning to occur," Mills explained

"According to other posts on the page, fellow Operation American Spring participants planned to meet at Arlington National Cemetery a stones throw from the District of Columbia on Friday morning, then march to the capital and stay there for days. Others on the forum have been attempting to arrange travel accommodations from as far away as Tucson, Arizona, Des Moines, Iowa and southeast Texas, and have been debating on the website where to camp in the DC area or whether or not to bring firearms along for the ride."

The most recent tweet says to meet at Arlington National Cemetery at 9am -- but that was posted at 1 am last night, and there's been nothing since.
The hashtag #OperationAmericanSpring mostly brings up a lot of lefties having fun.
