Method: Set a baseline for the negotiations.
Counter: Claim that their baseline is ridiculous and set a new one.

Method: Wear their resistance down by switching back-and-forth between topics.
Counter: Insist on doing the negotiations section-by-section.

Method: Pretend that you care about a particular point, only to trade it away for something valuable in the later stages.
Counter: Research.

Method: "I'll have to check with my boss on that."
Counter: "I think it's better if I negotiate directly with your boss."

Method: Calculate the minimum you are willing to settle for and don't accept anything below it.
Counter: Research.

Method: Wear their resistance down by opening up again a point that had already been settled.
Counter: Refuse. They were already okay with the old settlement, which means they already had an advantage secured. Renegotiating would only generate further advantages for them.
