U.S. cites 'credible threat,' issues warning for Nogales, Mexico

The U.S. Consulate in Nogales has issued a warning for U.S. citizens due to a "credible threat."
"Due to credible threat information, the consulate urges US citizens to take highest precautions regarding personal safety in and around Nogales," the warning posted on the consulate's website said.
The consulate first posted the warning on Twitter and Facebook Saturday and repeated the posts on Sunday.
No other information was given.

Border vigil set for this weekend in Nogales (AZ)

A newly formed group of activists will hold a 48-hour vigil and fast in Nogales this weekend to call for justice for those killed or injured by U.S. Border Patrol agents, organizers said.
... The group says it will be joined by family members of José Antonio Elena Rodriguez, the 16-year-old resident of Nogales, Sonora, who was shot by Border Patrol agents on Oct. 10, 2012. The family of Carlos Lamadrid, who was 19 when was shot and killed in Douglas in 2011, and the wife of a man who was seriously injured during his arrest at the San Luis Port of Entry in Yuma will also attend, organizers said.
