(50,338 posts)I might just have to delay bedtime for this as it could be VERY interesting regardless of which side of the Gore v Olbermann battle one might be on. (I am on the fence at this point)

(103,856 posts)Shooting his mouth off and burning bridges may not be effective anymore.
I like his politics, but his ego gets in his way.
Too bad we've lost his voice, but it was almost predictable

(50,338 posts)and Olbermann has an equity stake in the company so the 'story' could be more complicated than we know at this point. I hope Gore, too, will give his side of the controversy but, if this ends in a court case, it may be wise to remain silent but who knows.

(70,504 posts).... don't use it as a chance to grind your battle ax so you can keep the fight
going. Al Gore wanted to build a network w/ you being the foundation but you
were a first class pain in the ass to many many many people. Keith guess what
the world doesn't revolve around you and at a start up network you would have
been better off being a team player than the super star on a team of one.

(3,123 posts)I hope he makes nice too, Bot, but that remains to be seen. Besides, I beleive the truth behind all of this will be given but this member of the court of public opinion has made one determination: if this goes to court it's gonna be u-g-l-y!!!

(22,897 posts)I just went to the Current website, "Open letter..." (ad nauseum) page and it appears they no longer are taking comments, that is to say, the comments seem to be gone. Last time I checked, the number of comments was around 892. Guess they can dish it out...

(3,123 posts)I figured they got enough hate mail to make them shut it down. That goes to show that even though Keith is a diva he still has a loyal group of followers that will let Current know exactly how they feel.

Classy stuff, Al.

(17,656 posts)Gore and Hyatt have hired a high-powered PR firm "to help them through this crisis situation".
Seems pretty late in the day for them to hire a PR firm now.
They should have thought of hiring a PR firm when they first fired up their channel.
But, then what do I know, I only have as much experience in broadcast journalism as Al Gore -- NONE!
