SC Governor supports banning Black Biker Week?

I just read this on Daily KOS. The date line was May 30, 2014, so I didn't post in latest breaking news. People are seizing on the recent murders during bike week as a reason to ban this meet at Atlantic Beach. Years ago, a dentist and his 2 brothers from our county in Ohio were in Myrtle Beach, which is just south of Atlantic Beach, and all 3 were shot outside of a bar in downtown MB. The brothers were both killed and the dentist gravely injured. They didn't close MB then and they shouldn't stop this meet now. Here's a 21st century idea: have all the bikers meet there the same week and call it "BIKERS' WEEK"

"a dentist and his two brothers" what were the brothers? What if one was a securities analyst and the other a bartender? What if one was a drug dealer and the others flight attendants?
It all reminds me of an old Woody Guthrie song about the paper reporting an airplane crash and listing the casulties by name and then saying by the way there were a group of deportees...

I remembered it happened because we live near Belpre, where these brothers lived, and at the time, early 90's, we went to MB every other year or so, so it was a terrible event connected in my memory by my time and places. I think one of the other brothers was also a dentist, and I can't recall what occupation the 3rd brother worked at. I thought it was terrible that you go somewhere to have fun and end up dead. Just like all the senseless gun massacres all the time in America. My original point, that the brothers were victims of gun crime and the authorities didn't stop having MB. Another shooting in a different time and place shouldn't lead to stopping the event, especially since other reasons might be undercurrents in the uproar.
