Isn't the author of that book the nephew of a DUer? Or am I misremembering?

I had to go back and look at the article:

Obama bought two books for his daughters, Malia, 11 and Sasha, 8: "Journey to the River Sea" by Eva Ibbotson and "The Secret of Zoom" by Lynne Jonell. He paid in cash.

He also paid $37.44 for a "Star Wars" pop-up book for Ethan Gibbs, 6, the son of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

I don't know about the DU connection.

When he was campaigning, he also ate at Micky's Irish Pub next door to Prairie Lights. They have the best pork tenderloin sandwiches.

The White House purchases the highest quality toilet paper on the market. The days of having to tear pages out of Republican books have ended.

at this point. The President is appealing. No question. That is why he is president. And that is also part of the reason he is so fucking ineffective as a president.

like the ACA that is finally and truthfully being called out as a life saver for many Americans and not a death panel situation like people the the extremes still complain about.

People love the ACA, but the bagger ratfuckings are still hammering on how terrible it is to be able to afford insurance and the other side is still mewling about how terrible it is single payer isn't here, in miraculous time frame that has never been done before in any other country, that ACA is just not goodo 'nuff. whaaaaaa!

Then there are the Libertarians like GG, Snowden and GG's boss Pierre Pierre the Billionaire, who have gained a lot of ground for their nonsense and wild west thinking. If Ron Paul thinks putting a hairpin into an electrical socket isn't a good idea, that doesn't mean he is a good man with good ideas but he gets cheers and support from surprising corners.
