Mike Rogers, R-MI, admits Congress was notified of prisoner exchange plan in 2011.

It gets deeper and deeper and deeper for GOPers.

(snip)

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI) admitted on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Tuesday that “in 2011 (the administration) did present a plan that included a prisoner transfer.” He claimed the committee hadn’t heard anything since.

So, now, House and Senate members were briefed, about the same time.

"In a sense, Bowe represents a threat to anyone who wants to see the war continue – be they Taliban militants or Pentagon generals. Once the last American POW is released, there will be few obstacles standing in the way of a negotiated settlement. "It's the hard-liners on both sides who want to keep this thing going," says a White House official. "The Taliban is struggling with its own hard-liners. They need space, and this confidence-building measure could give them space."

asked for some proof by CNN's Anderson Cooper, he disappeared and hasn't been heard of again until now.

I believe he is used to start the talking points, then when challenged, he disappears. Just put it out there, as Bush said, 'catapult the propaganda' and some of it will stick.

continue to amaze me.

I remember seeing some of this Rogers' emails, they were shared by an uncle who votes Republican. I couldn't believe the level of horse manure this guy was spreading. He's a total weasel. I think he keeps getting re-elected because of his cool space captain name.
