That was just total, depraved recklessness.

So that people can *ahem* text while driving.

And I've been agreeing with it for years. But the ones so attached to their vehicles are almost like "...from my cold, dead hands!" with regards to the advent of driverless vehicles.

I like driving my car in some instances because it's fun. But most people are simply "motor vehicle operators" with no desire for driving skill, and seemingly, no desire to pay attention to the operating part either. I would gladly give up control of my vehicle to a computer and sensors if it meant eliminating distracted-driving with all of the MVOs out there now.

And this is the second story I've seen of a trucker killing someone while watching porn. Wasn't it just last year that the cop was killed by the idiot hiding the view of his porn-filled phone from the in-cab video camera?

I cannot even begin to imagine what they're like behind the wheel of a car.
