RALEIGH, N.C. -
Eleven people who refused to leave the building that houses an office of North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory have been cited by police more than two hours after beginning their sit-in.
The demonstrators refused to leave the old Capitol building Monday afternoon after they were unable to deliver a letter to McCrory calling on him to expand Medicaid and repeal policies of the Republican-led General Assembly.
Members of the media and others were escorted outside as the building closed, leaving the demonstrators inside with police.
