And the IADs are the good ole boys whose only function is to come
up with the most plausible alibi that is worth releasing to the media.

It's tough riding the gravy train but somebody's got to do it.

They don't want to be the only one in the club different so they go along. A leader would speak up and stop this kind of thing from happening.

I'm beginning to more than understand why people do, and certainly those who are poor, minority, disabled (like my aspie son) or otherwise not in what cops think are, and should be, the "mainstream". I do not, however, have that blind faith and trust in cops and their word that so many still seem to have, I do not "revere" them as too many still seem to do and I have no illusions as to who they are truly meant to "protect and serve" (as that picture of them surrounding the bank during one of OWS's demonstrations amply illustrates better than almost anything else could).

And, believe it or not, my knowledge of American history helps me to know that they were even worse in so many ways, and got away with it even more, prior to the 1960's reforms of many criminal justice procedures and policies. The only good thing about all the shit they're openly pulling nowadays is that it is helping to tear that curtain of automatic faith, trust, belief and reverence and they may start actually being held accountable for it. One could at least hope.
