Fox ‘expert’ links Bowe Bergdahl’s ballet dancing to Obama’s lack of ‘Americanism’

By David Edwards
Wednesday, June 4, 2014 10:26 EDT

Fox News Medical A-Team psychiatrist Keith Ablow on Wednesday suggested that returning prisoner of war Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s history of “narcissistic” ballet dancing was an example of President Barack Obama’s lack of “Americanism.”

On the Wednesday edition of Fox & Friends, host Steve Doocy asked Ablow to analyze Bergdahl based on personal details about his life before joining the military.

“He was homeschooled,” Doocy explained. “His family, they were Calvinists. We know that at one point, he became involved in ballet, he was a lifter.”

Ablow said that those sounded like “good things,” but he argued that they showed a “narcissistic core, where he’s developing a taste for adventure, for outsized adventure.”

The doctor admitted that he had not evaluated the Bergdahl family formally, but that they seemed to have a “desire to distance oneself from institutions, to diminish the, sort of, rule of law, and to elevate the individual above all else” because they did not “feel part of our country.”

“The fact that he was a dancer and a lifter, not a weight lifter, but he would lift up and throw the other ballerina, what does that mean?” co-host Brian Kilmeade wondered.

Ablow speculated that Bergdahl had been “recruited” by female dancers.

“Front and center is this guy’s M.O., unless it doesn’t feed him narcissistically, you can’t give him a job unless you’re going to tell him you’re the star, and we’re going to keep you at a throttle of 12 out of 10,” he opined.

And then Ablow connected the dots from ballet to the president of the United States.

“Here’s the thing — I’ve been saying it before — Barack Obama does not have the will of the American people, Americanism in his soul,” he insisted. “And this swap — somebody who may not feel very American for five people who definitely don’t — is symptomatic of that. It was bound to happen when you have a leader that doesn’t affiliate with patriotism.”

Doocy agreed that the president “definitely wanted out of Afghanistan, and maybe [the prisoner swap] is his way of closing Gitmo.”

“He wants out of America!” Ablow interrupted. “Trust me.”

Have you ever seen the movie Network?
I'm convinced that Rupert Murdoch watched it when it came out in 1976, and modeled his own network after UBS.

* "desire to distance oneself from institutions" - government is the problem
* "to diminish the, sort of, rule of law" - sovereign citizens
* "and to elevate the individual above all else" - libertarians
* "because they did not “feel part of our country.” " - Let's take America back!!!

unlike people who have only been "recruited" by our military. that's different.

oh, and the ballet thing -- the guy who literally supports other people -- that guy, that's the narcissist. the guy *underneath* the ballerina in the spotlight, that guy in the shadows, *that*'s the narcissist.

ah, yes, and finally, obama wants out of america! trust me! lol! yes, everyone who's just so done with america and wants out does exactly what he does -- runs for president. twice. trust me, that's classic evidence of wanting out of america. er, except when saint ronnie or gee dub did it. lol.

HE WAS TAKING EXPLETIVE, HE HAS NOT CLEANED HIS BUTT YET. 2- WHAT SHEAM FOR THEM. 1- I DONT THINK HE W 2-YES LOOK THEY HAVE ALL AMERICANS, ANA HELICOPTERS THE PLANES ARE LOOKING FOR HIM. 1- I THINK HE IS BIG SHOT THAT WHY THEY ARE LOOKING FOR HIM. 3-CAN YOU GUYS MAKE A VIDEO OF HIM AND ANNOUNCE IT ALL OVER AFGHANISTAN THAT WE HAVE ONE OF THE AMERICANS. 1- WE ALREADY HAVE A VIDEO OF HIM.

After studying ballet and working for a few years as a professional dancer, a restless Roman Baca needed a new challenge. His grandfather and uncles had served in the military, so Baca followed in his family’s footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2000. He was deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, from 2005 to 2006 and found camaraderie and acceptance among the soldiers in his platoon. But returning to civilian life proved difficult.

In 2007, at the urging of his then-girlfriend (she is now his wife), Baca formed Exit 12 Dance Company, a contemporary-dance group that explores the effect of violence and war through movement. The group’s 10 ballets have been performed to great acclaim across the country on traditional stages and, to reach soldiers and veterans directly, at more unusual venues like West Point U.S. Military Academy, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and on the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid.

AW: once you got home … ?
RB: I did what other veterans were doing: I got a job, bought a condo, got more serious about family and relationships. Six months later, my girlfriend sat me down and said, “You’re not OK. You’re anxious, angry, depressed and mean, and you’re making people afraid of you.” It was ironic — I joined the Marine Corps to learn how to deal with fear, and now I was dishing it out and making other people afraid. She challenged me and said, “Let’s change this. If you could do anything, what would you do?” I said I’d go back to dance and start working on this idea I had in a bunker in Fallujah.

AW: Last year, you received a fellowship and returned to Iraq to teach choreography to kids. What was that like?
RB: After the death [by suicide] of two of my comrades, I felt I had to do something bigger. In partnership with New York–based Battery Dance Company, we spent 10 days in Northern Iraq. We worked with 30 kids, half Kurdish and half Arab. The first day, they were on opposite sides of the courtyard, making snide comments and poking fun at each other. We challenged them to mix it up and interact, and they learned they could work together and depend on each other.

A real American man wouldn't get into something like ballet dancing. A guy who does ballet must necessarily be gay or a communist or both, unless he can figure out some way to involve guns.

Listen.......
We got the guy back!
For now that should be all that matters.

Still I have been laughing my butt off watching the GOP and their paid shills try to turn this into some kind of a pig circus.
And why? Well because.....
Obama bad.

It troubles me that I can find amusement in these discussing and dangerous people.
Guess I've reached a point where it's all right wing noise.
