Tuesday's storms: What got hit where (Marta and OS are A-OK)


Marta and I had NO damage. We didn't lose power. We were lucky. Just 2.5 inches of rain 6 hours.

Tuesday's strong storms had widespread effects. Here's a round-up of who got hit and a handful of notes on the severe weather.
OMAHA

Flash flooding throughout the city, some motorists stranded. Eppley Airfield closed because of flooding in front of the terminal. Flooding of homes led to evacuation of residents along Ames Avenue from about 16th to 22nd Streets.
COUNCIL BLUFFS

Flash flooding throughout the city, including over the hoods of vehicles at 10th Street and Avenue G. Power poles snapped. Heavy rains forced the temporary closing of at least one polling place.
