NGOs: Early parliamentary elections in Ukraine must be announced not later than July.

A number of Ukrainian NGOs insist on the calling of early parliamentary elections in Ukraine no later than July.

The next Ukrainian parliamentary election is under current law to be held in 2017.....that's now : June 2014.

From February - Ukraine reverts to 2004 constitution.

Within hours of signing the deal, Ukraine’s parliament voted to revert to its 2004 constitution, which sharply limits the power of the president. Under that constitution, parliament will have greater control over the make-up of the government, including the prime minister and the prosecutor-general.

It was claimed here yesterday that having reverted to the 2004 constitution the President can call new Parliamentary elections. I have a feeling it not quite that simple and that justification would need to be accepted by their Parliament.
