Imagine

If your son had been a prisoner of war. Now imagine that a segment of your fellow citizens hate and despise our President so much, that your town had to cancel a homecoming celebration for him. They are not afraid of the actions of foreign terrorists, no they fear for the actions of violent, gun crazy hateful Americans. We have become a nation of people quick to judge. Too many of our citizens have become bitter, hard-hearted and ignorant judges of the actions of others.

IS IT ALL BECAUSE OF RACIAL BIGOTRY? Or are they also pissed off because he is not a Republican?

I think they canceled because there was a lot of media about him being a deserter. Now whether or not that is true is still up to a military court, if they feel there is sufficient evidence to suggest that he might have been. But I can see why a lot of people might have been a bit iffy about celebrating the return of a possible deserter on the field of combat, especially in a part of the country that runs conservative.

if I had a child that was an alleged deserter, there would be no way I would be on TV at the White House for sure. I at least would wait until my child was back on American soil. Find out the facts and then MAYBE if he was truly innocent then perhaps have a White House media blitz.
