What would he have threatened them with, bombing, drone attacks, invasion? Been there, done that. I don't see that threat as being very scary to them. But then again repubs claim much and achieve little.

which makes no sense to me at all.

Just a few of them of course. I think most agree that no soldiers should ever get left behind. If he did something wrong, he should be tried by US military court.
