North Hollywood, CA: Armed Pursuit Suspect Reportedly Barricaded In North Hollywood Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An armed pursuit suspect was believed to be barricaded in a North Hollywood home Monday after he abandoned the vehicle he was driving.

Authorities pursued the “criminal threat suspect” along several Southland freeways for more than an hour before he pulled over on a surface street and exited a maroon Nissan Altima.

The suspect, who was wearing white, could then be seen jumping from rooftop to rooftop in a residential neighborhood near Irvine Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard before he reportedly entered a home in the 11500 block of Hartsook Street.

Officials have safely removed at least three people from nearby residences. Authorities are asking other nearby residents to shelter in place and that anyone nearby avoid an active perimeter set up at Magnolia to the north, Otsego to the south, Tujunga to the east and Colfax to the west.
