The NRA Has Created a Monster

The past month’s mass-shooting death toll is the logical conclusion of the gun group’s leaders’ deluded approach to our safety.

It’s been quite a month for the National Rifle Association: Massacres at universities, in restaurants, and at retail stores from South Carolina to Las Vegas. Gun nuts porting assault weapons to dinner from Chili’s to Chipotle. The leaders of the take-no-prisoners gun-rights organization have been witness to the logical outgrowth of its policies and rhetoric. Much as the GOP helped create the lunatic-fringe Tea Party within its midst, the NRA chieftains have helped birth a beast whose black heart now beats strongly among its most radical adherents.

more shootings that will increase gun sales, their base is fired up by the teabagger killers in Las Vegas, and there will be a lot more of their grass roots idiots copying the open carry demos in restaurants and stores.

It has been quite a toll lately and it makes me wonder how much more will it ramp up before it culminates in a real battle.

There are quite a few people left in this country who would like to see the racial war fought all over again. They are just trying to disguise it as a 2nd amendment issue, now that it's not PC to admit that.

We are watching long-term erosion catching up to them on other such wedge issues they have employed over the years.

The more threats to the public from people carrying guns, the more people will buy guns to protect themselves.
It's a lose/win proposition to the NRA.

The NRA is tickled pink to see an increase in random killings. The more the merrier.
They will all become richer from this.
Pop the cork, pass the champagne!

not one single American's life and safety means shit to the NRA. They are the propaganda arm of the Gun Lobby in America.

Dead children...need more gunz! Arm your teachers! The ONLY way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun...really Wayne? With all the millions you get paid, you could only with that dumb-ass catch-phrase?

How many school children had to die to inspire such tripe? Did it hurt when you pulled that one out of your ass?

This is what they want. This should be the reason that they are all hauled in front of officials and an investigation and charges are brought. Then they should be imprisoned for bribery, conspiring to overthrow the government, murder....the list goes on.

16. Gun owners who resist regulation are responsible
Tue Jun 10, 2014, 05:37 PM

Every gun owner who does not speak up loudly for regulations of his or her own weapon is responsible.

Every store or person that sells guns is responsible.

Every person or politician who advocated for allowing guns in public is responsible.

Every person who argues about the technicalities of weapons rather than the solution to the scourge of violence in this country is responsible.

Every person who says that guns are "safe" is responsible.

Every person who even mentions their "rights" when a dead kid is lying in the morgue is responsible.

Every asshole who wants to say it is impossible to do anything because there's already so many guns is responsible.

Every. Single. One.
