Infamous Hacker Guccifer Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison
Guccifer, the Romanian hacker who introduced the world to George W. Bush's nude self-portraits, has been sentenced to four years in prison. The former cab driver, born Marcel Lazar Lehel, was arrested in January.
In addition to the Bush paintings, Lehel gained access to the private correspondence of several U.S. and Romanian officials and celebrities, including Colin Powell and Romanian secret service chief George Maior. He potentially faces seven years in prison due to a three-year suspended sentence he received after a prior hacking arrest in 2012.
A Romanian prosecutor told Reuters he or she had no knowledge of any requests for extradition from the U.S., despite an FBI investigation into Guccifer that reportedly began last year.

Fox News Retracts Fraud Claim Against Former Executive
When Fox News president Roger Ailes fired his close advisor Brian Lewis last year, the channel claimedvia a series of coordinated leaks to Fox-friendly outletsthat Lewis was terminated over financial irregularities and unspecified breaches of his employment contract. Lewis fired back, and eventually settled with Fox for $8 million in November.
Now, nearly a year later, Fox says those claims about its former P.R. undertaker were untrue. Foxs admission appeared in an unusual document recently entered by the networks attorney at the Supreme Court of New York in Lower Manhattan, during the final stages of an age discrimination lawsuit filed by former network executive Roger Domal. Last week, Dornal and Fox reached a confidential settlement agreement, which the plaintiffs attorney, Christopher Chang, confirmed on Monday. ....
Foxs original accusations of financial fraud had served as a distraction from the real story of Lewiss firing, which was that Fox News executives were suspicious of Lewiss cooperation with Roger Ailes biographer Gabriel Sherman. This aggressive P.R. strategy spectacularly backfired after Lewiss attorney, Judd Burstein, accused Fox of lying about his client, threatened to reveal the channels dark secrets, and went on to extract a multimillion-dollar settlement.
So Fox was, in fact, lying about Lewis. Its good to know that Fox itself agrees. ....
