(53,955 posts)I just saw that Brat's supporters were calling Cantor a "socialist." Hmmm. Sure, many of them using that term are too stupid to know what a socialist really is, but it is a common "charge" against Jews.

(53,955 posts)It may also have another, unintended, effect, and that is to provide a shock to other Republican Jews. If they finally wake up and smell the coffee, then they may realize the tea-party has the makings of proto-Nazi party, all they are missing is a unifying leader. People laughed at the tea partiers, but they have been making progress, slowly, but steadily. Look at what just happened in Europe.

Right-populism is an emerging threat in Europe and here in the US... The Democratic Left needs to make a serious effort to move their asses away from the corporate trough.
