commencement address at Worcester Technical High School.
In his remarks, the President congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments, letting them know that they stand out among other high schools across the country:
Im here today because there is nothing ordinary about Worcester Tech or the Class of 2014. You have set yourselves apart. This high school has set itself apart.
Over the past four years, some of you have learned how to take apart an engine and put it back together again. Some of you have learned how to run a restaurant, or build a house, or fix a computer. And all of you are graduating today not just with a great education, but with the skills that will let you start your careers and skills that will make America stronger.
"The thing I really want to do," he said, "is make sure that what we've learned here at this high school we can lift up for the entire nation. I want the nation to learn from Worcester Tech."

(51,076 posts)I seen the treatment he gets from the pukes as racism from day one and you know what, I was right. Pure unadulterated racism of the worst kind.
I thought we were on the down hill side but nope we as a country have a long ass way to go yet.
I like, No I love our President. Sure there are things I'd like to see done differently but that doesn't take from the things done right by any stretch. He is the President of all us, pukes and all. That puts him head and shoulders above most people, that he can do that after the way he is being treated by the right wing.

(85,996 posts). . . if that's their game - and I think that politics of personal destruction has been around for a while. It got a media boost when networks found they could get larger audiences by being salacious and exploitive with their political reporting.
Of course, the color of skin has always been an easy target, but I tend to think that most of the regular folks out there who engage in all of that hate are too stupid to see past their own shortcomings or vulnerabilities. His two terms are a powerful statement, to me, of the determination of most Americans to put all of that divisiveness behind us.

LOL~ Yup the media, bought and paid for hates this kind of thing.
Gracious I don't know what I was thinking!
However, from the Boston Globe
US can learn from Worcester Tech, Obama says at ceremony
The presidents speech came just hours after Senate Republicans blocked legislation, authored by Senator Elizabeth Warren, designed to curb student loan debt.
Today that idea was defeated by Republicans in Congress, he said, prompting boos.
Dont boo, he said. Just remember to vote.
