He's just worried somebody will shoot him and get away with it thanks to SYG.

The only 'non-English' in my sentence was the abbreviation 'SYG' for 'Stand Your Ground'.

To restate it in ways you might understand, 'He' refers to the antecedent in your original post, 'Dog the bounty Hunter'. The 's on the end is what we call a 'contraction' in English, which takes the the word 'is' and shortens it down to 's and attaches it to the end of the noun before it.

'worried' means that Dog is afraid, fearful, or anxious.

'somebody' refers to the various people who have committed criminal acts that he hunts down for his bounty hunting business.

'shoot him' means to use a gun (firearm) to fire a bullet into him (him being Dog the Bounty Hunter again)


'get away with it' means that the person doing the shooting will not be convicted of having shot and or killed him in the legal system.

'thanks to SYG' means that the prior clause (getting away with it) will occur as a result of the aforementioned shooter's use of 'Stand Your Ground' as a legal defense for the shooting.

I've seen far worse stuff stand unhidden. His reply was pretty mild by site standards.

I am not surprised he hates SYG- bail agents are some of the worst abusers of what limited authority they have, and make a living using tactics of intimidation and abuse of not just the person thy are hunting but anybody they think might be associated with them.

I've seen them barge into homes, handcuff people they had no legal right to, vandalize cars, and worse.

Probably 90% of the ones I interacted with were power hungry scumbags who couldn't pass the psych eval or background check for LE so they went that route. A tiny minority were polite, professional and didn't act like scumbags.
