Only in America could ass holes like Kristol, Cheney, etc. be so wrong yet be constantly invited for their "expertise" by the media intelligensia.

Fuck them. Fuck them all with a rusty crowbar. Honestly, I don't think anything has enraged me as much in such a long time. As for Mitt, who really gives a flying fuck what a Vietnam era dodge drafting piece of shit, with a litter of spoilt punk ass boys - none of whom have served in the military - says about Obama's handling of a pile of shit his party left?

I totally agree with you, I get so enraged seeing these smarmy aholes being invited for their commentary on the situation in Iraq when they are all the ones gung ho for starting this immoral war in the first place. I haven't seen the liar Colin Powell in the media much, maybe he actually has a sense of shame, either that or he is too busy serving on corporate boards.

Peace

The elitist, job-destroying SOB isn't worth the dump he took yesterday morning. Republicans should be forever ashamed they nominated that sleazy swindler.

Mitt is playing to the oilmen, this is made clear in the first sentence:

Republican Mitt Romney, blaming President Barack Obama’s handling of foreign policy, warned financial backers Friday that everything the nation fought for during the lengthy Iraq war could vanish.

And what was that exactly? The article doesn't say if he mentioned anything specific. I'm guessing he didn't. We know the Bush/Cheney crowd thought they'd get oil out of it; they couldn't even do that. The billions in military contracts? Already done and pretty sure they're not giving any money back to anyone. Just what does old foot-in-mouth Mitt think is going to vanish? Except maybe more lives. Someone please sew his mouth shut!

"Tragically, all we’ve fought for in Iraq, all that 4,500 American lives were shed to gain, is on the cusp, potentially, of vanishing"

According to the Bushies, we had to invade NOW! Right! Effing! NOW! Nownownownow! so that Saddam wouldn't give his nukes/nerve gas/anthrax bombs to Bin Laden.

So that vanished by the end of 2003, when it became clear to all but True Belivers that they didn't exist.

And the Bushgies never even tried to create a democracy in Iraq. Their plan was to hand it off to Chalabi and let him be Civilian Happyface Saddam. That vanished too.

Those men and women died because Bush's neocons (who would have been running Romney's foreign policy) used an attack on this country as an excuse to launch their completely unrelated pet project of ousting Saddam.

No, Mitt and his blood-gargling psychopath buddies can't really explain what "we" are fighting for. They just know that more poors need to be sent over to Iraq. Instructive, though, that whereas student loan debt relief has to be paid for two and three times over before the Republicans will even think about it, re-booting Iraq 3.0 doesn't have to be paid for ahead of time, and certainly not on the backs of Mitt and his ultrarich pals.

Is Mitt saying how he wants "us" to pay for what "we" are fighting for?

For helping to tell America the Republicans are the party of endless war.

BTW: When we pulled out of Vietnam the chickenhawks were claiming we could have won if we had only used nukes.
