Father's day is not a celebration of male necessity

It's for people to individually, if they chose to thank their father. It is not a celebration of fatherhood.

The family values crowd would have you believe that 1) a man is needed to raise a child, and 2) this is part of being a man.

Both are false. A man is in no way needed to raise a child and fathering children is not necessary to be a man.

Don't let them turn this in to something to help them create the world that they want.
