Chinese investors buying up U.S. golf courses

"A golf course is a kind of symbol of status — a thing you can be proud of and show off,"

It's hard,to overcome the fact that, from a Chinese perspective, the U.S. courses can look like screaming bargains.

They've got plenty U.S. cash to invest -- in fact they're overflowing in it, the US being so fond of wars -- so why not invest it in U.S. golf courses? And in U.S. natural resources? Why should it matter who the common people are in servitude to, so long as those with the capital can call the absolutely unregulated shots?

A rival group from the US wanted to develop it into luxury homes.

I have no problem selling to foreign investors as long as they intend to treat the courses with respect.
