Hey ladies, wanna keep your man? Better read.

This just came across my feed on FB. For some reason it reads better if you read it in Phil Hartmans voice.

7 ways to keep your man from the 1950's

So I do a pretty good Phil Hartman and me and the wife are laying in bed as I am reading these to her. I will be sleeping with an eye open tonight.

Which seem to focus exclusively on the mid 20th century while completely ignoring how the same kind of self-loathing garbage is perpetuated in contemporary gender hierarchy.

It's all a huge joke about how bad it was BEFORE which implies how good it is now. Which, it isn't. The only reasoned article would be an extensive analysis of persistent trends of sexism throughout modernity.

I think history shouldn't be censored and it's interesting to see that this was the mindset of certain people back then, women included. Thanks for sharing!

Basically, Don't speak, dont like sex too much, don't be frigid, throw on ruffled pink panties, throw a tenderloin on the table and worship the ground he walks on.

Dear Second Wave Feminists - I love you women! Thank you for setting the world straight! If not for you I would have hung myself one month into my marriage.

And some people get so nostalgic about the 50's and 60's. Nuh uh!

I did get a kick out of reading that though. I mean, nice steak not cheap pork? lol!

We've come a long way, baby!

I had a crusty ol First Sergeant who favorite line was "back in the day", "or back in the old Corps".

My response was always, oh you mean when there were separate drinking fountains, pot smoking was an everyday thing. I also told him that more enlisted folk are more educated with %11 at least a 2 year degree and continuing their education.
