(15,741 posts)if you want to lose elections!
Here's the logic trap:
Cheney says attack.
Obama attacks.
Disaster ensues.
Cheney says it's all Obama's fault for withdrawing in the first place. And, it's Obamas fault not attacking with boots on the ground.... etc, etc..
Instead, Obama needs to make it clear the disaster is due to Cheney's illegal invasion in the first place. Start the prosecutions and change the dynamic.

(4,748 posts)Western Europe, Cuba, our own Southern States and of course Vietnam as you said. An endless list it seems of our blood letting. Why not a few more nuclear bombs in the South Pacific and Nevada desert? How about some nice fresh internment camps? We could try prohibition again. What we need is another red scare. How fucking dumb are we?

(9,002 posts)One day recently I was reading up on the Tunnel Rats and it took me on a wild journey around Wikipedia and the internet and apparently we won that war.
I also learned that Nguyễn Ngọc Loan
was a hero for executing this Viet Cong member.
Apparently, the executed VC (leader of a Viet Cong death squad) had just murdered all of Loan's family members by slitting their throats. Loan was told this seconds before that picture was taken and he lost his mind and carried out his own brand of justice.
