I went to the Mayo Clinic today. Every clinic/hospital/Dr office should be like that

First they talk to you like a person and not at you like an idiot.
It's also modern, neat and clean.
They have the latest technology and research to bring cutting edge help to the sick
The Doctor was focused on addressing my concerns and treatment and not on spitting me out to get to the next patient.

The real shame is that I think all doctors, hospitals, and clinics could be just like Mayo if we weren't stuck in a money making model of health insurance instead of healthcare.

I realize that Mayo is expensive. It's out of my league, but I was able to go as a service provided by the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). If you've got a few bucks laying around that's not going to political mudslinging, maybe check them out. If you have a neuro muscular disease, check them out at mda.org to find your closest chapter.

Brain surgery, a one week stay and a five day stay due to infection that ended last Saturday.

Awesome staff. Wednesday and Friday are music days, had a harpist in my hallway last Friday.

Great menu, too! Grilled salmon and quinoa!

One step better, IMO, is the Monterey Community Hosptial. Girlfriend stayed there, no wait, quick check in, they check you out with a folder and CD with all your records.

Nice people!
