Gentleman George Will is getting damned tired of having to explain rape to you guttersnipes

Victorian gas-pipe and Her Majesty’s Curator of Rape To The Colonies, George Will, has just about had it up to here with you people — YES, YOU PEOPLE.

And especially you. Don’t think by closing your laptop he can’t see you, because he can.

Oh yes, he most certainly can, you loathsome wastrel.

It seems that, after explaining the ins and out of rape to you ungrateful curs, he was shocked and dismayed to discover that you promiscuous info-trollops on the intertubes are unable to comprehend the pearls of wisdom that he dispenses to the riff-raff gratis, courtesy of Ye Olde Washminster Poste.

Hush now, let Gentleman George condescend to speak down to you and try, fruitlessly no doubt, to explain once again that rape is what George Will says rape is:

“I take sexual assault more seriously than I think they do [ED: HE IS TALKING ABOUT YOU], because I agree that society has correctly said that rape is second only to murder as a serious felony,” he said. “Therefore, when someone is accused of rape, it should be reported to the criminal justice system that knows how to deal with this – not with jerry-built, improvised campus processes.”

What is worse — most intolerable in this age of enlightenment — is that you have all acted like insufferable ruffians towards the good gentleman and it a damned shame that there is no Internet constable about to haul your scrofulous personage into a dimly lit alley and give you such a thrashing that you will remember for the rest of your wretched plebeian life.

Broken by the fact that not a fuck was given by anyone about his intimate lunches with Nancy Reagan 30 years and more in the past . . .

Tragic. Like something out of Thomas Mann . . . . but no, he's too lively and snappy an author to bear comparison with the airless, mothballed nature of Carlson The Elder.

"Unfortunately, the downside to this – there’s a downside in everything – is among the barriers to entry that have been reduced is you don’t have to be able to read, write, or think, you can just come in and shout and call names and carry on."

Thus explaining the fact that he has a nationally syndicated column.

No added co-morbidities like Classism and Racism that take priority over Violence and Misogyny against women, which tends to set off argument among Good Liber[strike ]tarianals, .

No, this is pure misogyny in its elemental form. A true symmetrical comparison--- these college women are the Best and the Brightest, just like these college men: Best and Brightest.

Yet, compare the reflexive, unquestioned fear that ASSUMES that any report of rape endangers possibly innocent shining young men, regardless of well-researched data showing a large significant majority of college men admit to a willingness to rape if they knew they wouldn't be caught------

Compare that default image in the mind of Mr. Will, the Great Conservative Thinker, with the easy, reflexive assumption he harbors, which is that Women Lie.

These young women, truly just as bright, as human, and as valuable as the young men, are, according to Will's assumptions, liars. Not bright, promising people whose bright future deserves to be guarded.

No, he holds and publicly reinforces the debunked assumption that any of these Best and Brightest young college woman who report rape are actually Opportunistic Lying Trollops commiting the automatically suspicious, unforgivable, man-hating act of claiming victimhood.

!

Quite interesting contrast in expectations, there. Yes, very VERY interesting.

Rape is a crime, and should be reported to authorities. Asking businesses to handle it instead (because that is what schools are) minimizes it.

If authorities aren't handling things correctly, we need to fix that. But anyone minimizing rape as a normal part of the college experience ---

ARGH!!!
