John McCain Is Very Upset Chuck Todd Made Fun Of Him

Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) is raging mad at MSNBC host Chuck Todd, who was reportedly caught joking about McCain having "heart palpitations" upon discovering that former Gen. David Petraeus opposed further intervention in Iraq.

"It's not like further evidence was needed to prove the liberal bias at MSNBC and in the mainstream media, but Chuck Todd's 'hot mic' comments asking if anyone 'checked on' Senator McCain for 'heart palpitations' over General Petraeus' remarks on Iraq show just how quickly the media will try and discredit Senator McCain and anyone who questions President Obama," McCain's communications director, Brian Rogers, said in a statement.

The alleged hot mic incident occurred Thursday before President Obama announced he would send a limited force of 300 advisers in Iraq. According to Mediaite, Todd and Fox News' Ed Henry mocked McCain over Petraeus' Wednesday warning against further intervention in Iraq.

Todd was quoted asking if anyone "checked on" McCain, who has been a staunch supporter of military intervention in Iraq, following Petraeus' remarks. (The "hot mic" recording does not clearly show Todd speaking.)

"I’ve got to think McCain must have had heart palpitations," Todd joked.

Edited to add: Chuck Todd is an absolute joke. He should be working at Faux Snooze instead.

well that critical analysis disappears. Rest easy, McCain. Chucky still loves you, or at least you'll still get the love whenever Toad is aware the mic is on.

Why be upset? You emphatically say, "Joe agree with me" ... Joe emphatically says, "I don't agree with you. "

Why trip when someone says, "I'll bet that's gonna piss him off."

is as a result of a hot mike unintentional mistake? If there's any bias, it's in favor of stifling any intentional journalistic statements remarking how McCain's so-called military expertise was completely undermined by the very expert he called upon to solve the Iraq situation. But for the hot mike statement, no reporter in the mainstream media would have dared to draw attention to McCain's blunder as part of a regular news report.

When he finds out a majority of people who know anything about him, laugh at him regularly. He has gone from a respected elder to a laughing stock and does not seem to know.
