From Rachel Maddow's blog:
Remember, no one even knows what the article (or articles) or impeachment might say. But it doesnt matter the drive about the uncontrollable id of a radicalized political party, not a legitimate governmental exercise based on evidence.

If this group of lunatic motherf***ers that call themselves the Republican Party take over the senate in this year's elections, the House probably will impeach him. And who doesn't understand that the real reason is because he's black?
So what do we do then?

(45,251 posts)There are at the very least one or two African Americans they pretend to love. But, they are Republicans and perform the important role of making the party appear "diverse."
However, I don't think they will impeach. It would be political suicide for them and they are already dying of natural causes. (Well, if you call things like yapping about "real rape" natural).

(15,016 posts)Today's GOP is bowing to the wishes of a crazed minority of teabaggers. They hate this minority, but fear them to the point that they will do their bidding.
If long-time senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi loses today's primary runoff to his teabag opponent, it will strike even more dread into so-called "moderate" GOPers. Political suicide will be the last thing on their minds.

They can ignore the baggers and risk losing primaries, or become baggers and risk losing elections. And the House and the Senate have it easier than Presidential wannabes, who have to figure how to do all that, plus keep a record that will allow them to appeal to the entire nation.
I don't think impeaching Obama is Koch prerequisite, though. So, why would they complicate their re-election chances even more?

(21,475 posts)That would take two thirds of the Senate and even if republicans were to gain control of the Senate they will not gain two thirds control.. They know that as well as anyone. It will simply be another waste of time and energy and EVERYONE knows it.
