Elected

I find it amusing that the racist teahadists lost, by the very law and very people, who the runoff format was designed to exclude.

Now McDaniel wants to find a way to novate the vote by blacks in MS because in his words they cheated, yet it was an open election.

He got more votes in the first count. Add in a democrat challenger that will siphon some off the support that Cochran needed to win and you have victory with less than 50% of the vote.

In 2008 Cochran won 61%-37% against state representative Fleming.

If Dems get a larger voter turnout than the record in 08 it's possible to sneak a win. If Dems don't show up McDaniel as a write-in could steal it with 30something percent of the vote.

Very important to GOTV if McDaniels decides to stay in.

As long as there are folks ready to send him money (re: not too many concede calls from the rw noise/fundraising machine) and he will keep forging ahead.
