Not sure if this has been posted - a new browser plugin called Greenhouse.

Created by a 16 year old, it uses data from OpenSecrets.org. When you read an article, etc, and a politician's name is mentioned, it will highlight the name. Hover over the highlighted name and it will reveal where they get their money from.
I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds very interesting.

EDITED TO ADD: It works, but unfortunately it doesn't play nice with Firefox (see comments below). Haven't tried it on another browser.

Testing it out on Firefox. It's making Huffington Post articles load a little slowly but it's an interesting add-on.

EDIT: Firefox just froze and then crashed. Rarely if ever happens. Would have to think it's related. I'll keep it but disable it. I'm sure they'll improve it.

FF didn't crash, but the load times were very, very slow - to the point of not responding. I've also disabled and hope they improve it soon.

I wouldn't blame it on the add-on.
