What's Wrong with Kansas? Maybe Nothing

The Kansas Primaries are coming up in several weeks. SurveyUSA has done polling in Kansas on the likely winners of the primaries and their chances in the GE

According to the latest polling conducted by Survey USA, Kansas may be trending away from the Republicans. That's not to say it's all moving toward the Democrats, but some of the old-guard Republican voters are looking elsewhere (Libertarians for example)

Brownback and Coyer are trailing Paul Davis and Jill Docking 47% - 41%.
Behind the numbers: about 25% of registered Republicans are taking their votes elsewhere, many to Davis-Docking
89% of registered Democrats are voting for the Democratic ticket
Independents go Democratic by 19 points.
Men favor Brownback by 1, Women go Davis by 14
Taxes and Education are the two main issues according to SurveyUSA. If you're focus is taxes then you go Brownback by 16, If you're thing is education, Davis by 54.

Republican Senator Pat Roberts leads probable Democratic nominee Chad Taylor 43% - 33% with 3rd Party candidates taking 12% and undecideds about 12%.
Behind the numbers: Roberts is above 50% in western Kansas, but below 50% everywhere else.
Roberts leads among men and women and in all age groups
If health care is your issue, Roberts 3:1. If ti's the economy then Taylor 4:3

Remembering that Roberts is a known quantity and his teahadist opponent trails 2-1. That's not a bad place for the guy people think will win, but not assured.

Secretary of State Kris Koblach leads Dem challenger Jean Schodorf 47-41.
Behind the numbers: Koblach leads among conservatives 9:1. But trails among moderates significantly.
70% of Republicans say they are supporting Kobach
80% of Democrats are supporting Schodorf
Independents leans 4:3 in favor of Schodorf
Koback leads Schodorf by 41 points among people who think immigration is the most important issue.
