Oath Keeper tells Fox News radio that God gives Americans the right to disobey gun laws

Isn't this special? Wonder if this will be attempted as a defense in a courtroom sometime.

A top official with New York’s Oath Keepers chapter sparred with a Fox News radio host over an individual’s right to disobey laws they believe to be unconstitutional.

The group, which is comprised mostly of retired and active-duty law enforcement personnel, claims they are not bound to enforce such laws due to their oaths to defend the constitution.

“See, the people are supposed to be the boss,” said John Wallace, vice president of the New York Oath Keepers. “We’re telling people not to comply with an unconstitutional law.”

He appeared Thursday on “The Alan Colmes Show,” where the host repeatedly challenged Wallace to explain how the U.S. Constitution granted individual rights to interpret the law.

claim the "right" to disregard gun laws that they deem objectionable. This is the same mind set that rushed to defend Bundy, and plays soldier in the woods all dressed up in camo outfits with big old guns.

The scary socialist black president is coming for their guns you see, so they must water the tree of Liberty with the blood of our children as a sacrifice to the NRA Gun God.

Sounds like this oath keeper is either illiterate or is just a common dumb ass.

The bible also tells you to pay your taxes... render unto Caesar that which is Caesars........

The fundie tea party should bother to actually READ the bible that they tote so proudly. Oh and another thing.... since when did all of these Christians who quote Leviticus switch from Christianity to Judaism? The new testament says that the old covenant is gone, hence old Jewish law is gone. They seem to trot out that old horse when it suits them to bash those in the gay community.

Just saying.....
