It was actually kind of funny, it said, do not park in garage due to risk of fire from faulty fuel tank strap. I've had it for years and finding out just now that it could've gone up....

(3,539 posts)Typical I will buy new or close to it then run the car until the cost of the parts exceed the the expected life of the rest of it.
After the poor beast had already long been rusting away somewhere I got a recall letter on the wiring harness.
The funny part was that I "tripped over" the problem a number of years prior. I was changing spark plugs and the harness just disconnected. That would have been a real hoot on the highway.
It is good that somebody somewhere is keeping tract of it. I looked up the current critter and four of four are 'nits'.
