"because of environmental laws, there's not enough paper, thus everybody in the P.O. is out of work"

I watched last night's Real Time, one of the guests was an energetic conservative kid who appeared totally serious when making some of stupidest comments I have ever heard.
Awesomely stupid. He achieved heights of idiotic thinking that even Palin would admire.

For a long time now, I have been able to laugh when fossilized Reich Wingers like McCain and his gang provided fodder for outrage of the day. I figured they would die off soon and leave a vacuum which would be filled with smarter people.
But THIS guy last night..he was a kid...and seemingly dedicated to sharing his cherished views made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Glenn Beck lite, so to speak.

Damn it...they are breeding.
We are doomed.

And no, they won't die off. They are breeding...why do you think there is a quiverful movement? They want to produce "god's army". It's only going to get worse, imo. When these kids grow up, a small percentage *may* denounce their upbringing and become liberals, but MORE will not. Add that to so many liberals not wanting to reproduce because of overpopulation, and it won't be long before we are all dinosaurs.

If you listen to this program:

http://www.onbeing.org/program/jonathan-haidt-the-psychology-behind-morality/6341

the researcher explains how the difference between republicans and Democrats is more a matter of personality type.

I listened to it twice because it was so interesting. Republicans like things neat and orderly, while Democrats are quite comfortable with chaos.

Think of the art that Hitler, the ultimate reich winger, liked and what he considered degenerate art.

How taxing carbon would put all those coal miners out of a job, so it's a terrible thing to do.

Hi solution? Build more nuclear power plants. Somehow, that saves all the coal-mining jobs

And that climate change will be resolved by some future technology just like email did. Therefore, it's a waste of time to try to reduce emissions just to save a celebrity's beach-front property.

It was a symphony of stupid. At one point Bill changed the topic because he said he'd get an aneurysm if he kept talking to the idiot about climate

See, somehow by NOT cutting down the Rain Forest in the Amazon, we saved trees, from which we make paper ( from Amazon treees, don'tcha know)
but computers came along and invented email so we do not use paper so the Post Office people are *ALL* out of work.

Just went to the HBO website to see this week's panel. Andy is 33. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Dean

He's on Premiere Radio Networks at 6pm ET right after Premiere's cookie-cutter conservatives Glenn Beck (9am), Rush Limbaugh (noon), and Sean Hannity (3pm). Premiere also used to have the liberal Randi Rhodes show during the 3-6 ET slot. Lots of Clear Channel Radio stations that have the Beck/Limbaugh/Hannity shows also have the Dean show.

Maybe he thought it sounded a little too "ethnic" for the audience he was trying to appeal to.

One of the reasons I quit watching Maher is that he is entirely too nice to assholes like this.

Ouch! Fired to be replaced by a host to be named later?

Major house cleaning at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, with its 245 million monthly U.S. listeners, is the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any radio, digital or television outlet.

Andy Dean, who had a disastrous outing on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” on June 27, is being trimmed from the syndicated line up and is rumored to be replaced by a female talent, as of yet unnamed.
