Wingers gassing about President Obama and Iraq 24-7. Who among us didn't stare horrified

when we attacked Iraq, we knew for no reason, watching the bombs exploding, with a knot in the gut knowing that this day would come?

That the fragile peace among three different peoples would blow, not if, but when?

That our efforts there would cost lives for nothing on both (now all four) sides?

I turn the radio dial and I hear the message literally 24-7. One station here in particular, 99.5, a nominally Christian station that is very political, is flacking their point relentlessly.

I guess we're supposed to think President Obama broke Iraq. The rest of the world will be surprised to hear it.

Just look back at Howard Dean's 'scream', which didn't sound strange to anyone in the room but was flacked on all media till 'everybody' thought he was a loon, to remember how the media manipulates our nation.

(Off topic sort of but does anyone remember what he said he would do the day before? I recall it was that he would work to restore the Fairness Doctrine. What followed was a political hit job.)

Anyway, not that you guys don't know, but I doubt many of you have as much time to listen to the loons as I have had lately. So that's what's on the GD winger radio. Forwarned, and all that.

A lot of us knew this would be a disaster and protested this illegal, immoral and reckless war before ir even started!

It makes me sick that they are laying the blame on Obama. Local RW staion here is pushing the same crap nonstop.

They will do or say anything to get their war on.

They think Obama can be pressured to make their war dreams come true. But they will fail.

You can be sure that Cheney is working hard to get us back in a middle east war. He will fail.

By telling Congress to do their job and declare war their own damn selves he's telling them they won't be able to pin it on him if they do. The GOP in Congress and elsewhere would be only too happy to do exactly that -- just look at Insane McCain, who wants to invade some country just about every other month. But all of them would be all over Obama in a heartbeat, right?

I will always despise the neocons and the Bush/Cheney cabal for what they did to our country, but the media enablers were equally at fault for ramping up the propaganda machinery and convincing so many gullible citizens that we had to attack Iraq.

To see so many of the old criminals out and about again, being allowed to sully the airwaves as though their opinions actually mattered, just about makes me ill.

As for Howard Dean, I worked on his campaign. A colleague of mine was actually in the room with the crowd when he gave the "scream speech." She said the ambient noise was at such a pitch you couldn't hear yourself think. Media sound booms were pointed right at Dean, filtering out much of the crowd noise..... And the rest is history. It was a hit job -- his yell was replayed on TV over 600 times.

Fast forward to the present -- to see Obama blamed for Bush/Cheney's wars by Democrats is just insane.

for the fucked upped way Katrina was handled then the 24/7 hate radio knows it is doing its job right.

Since I don't watch tv I stop by and listen to the local President Obama/liberal hate station occasionally, and after about 15, maybe 30 min. my stupid quota is used up and I go back to the 'oldies', aka my era, 60's, 70's, about half the 80's , station.

One thing I have noticed though, is how hard they are trying to rewrite the reTHUGliCON history of the past 30-35 yrs. starting with Captain Raygun.
