We deserve the court rulings. We have to stop being reactive and whining after the fact.

We have to be proactive and have to start putting people in office that reflect what laws we want. 20 to 40 % turnout for elections is not going to cut it.

..as they install their own President, I think the message that they could rule with impunity was pretty clear...

2. AND we MUST get out the vote when the census comes along

That is the most important election ever, since GOVERNORS/Secretaries of State get to manipulate districts for TEN LONG YEARS.. That is precisely why our house of representatives is so desperately skewed against us.....and why nothing of any consequence passes..

For decades now, democrats have been stop-start when it comes to elections, and have tended to only get really amped up in presidential years, but the hum-drum in-state elections and gubernatorial elections are the truly impactful elections.

we make the asshole-party spend huge money to keep what they've got? Where else can we fight the kind of media guerrilla warfare that embarrasses the entire Rethug corporate handmaids?

He posted on his FB page that this was a win for religious Freedom. The Mayor of Clinton is running against him. SHE is Janice Kovach.

We need all the help we can get. Money, calls, tweet - share her FB posts.

She's very solid left. I had misgivings then I learned via the person doing the update how left she is on the issues.

She's not playing it safe - he Facebook post is the exact opposite of what Lance said. We just gave her another $250

3. No, we don't "deserve" the court rulings.

Conservatives have won a few of the recent court battles, but not many. They will use whatever means necessary to turn this country backwards. They have almost unlimited resources to accomplish this. Eventually, they will fail, even though they have spent billions trying to turn this country into a Libertarian utopia. They haven't quite crossed the line yet. They will over-step. Only a matter of time. 400 billionaires will never succeed in enslaving 320 million people.

My personal opinion is that things have already turned around, but politics can fool you just when you think you have it figured out.

11. And by "we" you mean women deserve it, right? Since you're a man and this has no effect on you.

Be careful how you use that term "we."
