Geez, Cali Calypso never learns.

Fortunately I have learned: now I keep a bucket with the washing ingredients in readiness: one quart bottle of hydrogen peroxide, never opened, a baggy with 1/4 cup baking soda, and (in the kitchen) the liquid dish detergent of which we need only one squirt. Mix it all together in the bucket and sponge the little fool thoroughly for 5 minutes. Rinse her very well in plain water. Much improvement.

She smelled a whole lot better until she went to lie in the sun today, which apparently reactivated whatever was left for awhile. There's still residual odor in the house because of course she ran inside very fast after being sprayed in the face.

Grumble, grumble, grumble.

I let them be as they only came out at night to eat the bird seed that fell on the ground.

They are adorable babies, so long as you keep your distance and move slowly.
