35 Important Things We Learned Watching The President Get Off Of Air Force One

The date is April 10, 2014, and President Obama is about to land at an airport in Austin, Texas.

But before the president and first lady can walk out of the plane and have this near wardrobe malfunction, a bunch of interesting stuff happens:

and witnessed 3 presidential arrivals (HW Bush once, Clinton two times)...

This all looked extremely similar, down to the press having to stand on whatever platform was handy.

The commentary seems almost right-wing (number of secret service it takes to protect President Obama from a baby, counting the vehicles, etc).

I am glad that the President travels the way he does, and have no problem paying for it. I don't want to witness another JFK in my lifetime.

Had to stand on a rusty bit of equipment, big fucking deal.

Looking for a part of that worth watching = 5 minutes I'll never get back.

And I, too, am glad he has the protection that he has.
